About Me

I am currently a full-time IT professional and photography is one of my hobbies that I am deeply involved. I started to get more serious with photography late of 2009 when I was able to get myself my first DSLR - Canon's EOS Rebel XS/1000D.

I started with photography on my Sony video camera with a still photo feature but I got rolls of films using an old film point and shoot. I forgot what brand it was but I cherished that camera since I brought it with me when I went to Japan for the first time. Since I started with my video cam's still photo feature, I took lots of photos since it was already digital. I then bought myself a digital point and shoot camera (with manual controls which I didn't knew how to use then) after three years. I got to exploit the manual controls of my point-and-shoot around 2008.

I currently have no formal training on photography and only learned the basics and techniques from reading materials that's available in the Internet. I also buy photography magazines on topics I am exploring and would like to learn.
